Getting Started
Approaching a volunteer opportunity is very similar to approaching any employment opportunity. Be prepared. Many organizations will require that you provide a résumé, attend a face to face interview and check your references. In addition do not be surprised if you are asked to submit to a police record check as this additional screening procedure is becoming a standard practice for many volunteer organizations.
