Workshop on Research Methodology and Ethics in Jerusalem

June 16-19, 2003

Introduction

The educational/training workshops on “Research Methodology and Ethics”, designed specifically for students, community workers and scholars in the Palestinian Territories took place at Azzahra Hotel, East Jerusalem. The workshops brought together researchers and a select number of community workers and NGO representatives with their Canadian counterparts. As in previous workshop, the exchange of ideas and sharing experiences, and the presentations and discussions around concepts, theories and research methods and practices took place in the spirit of recognizing and validating diverse sources of knowledge, practices and experiences.

The workshop was opened by Dr Sari Nusseibeh, President of Al-Quds University. Included among those attending were Dr Ahmad Fahim Jabr, Dean of Faculty of Arts, and Dr Taisir Abdallah, Dean of Research, Al-Quds University.
