Dr. Saeed Rahnema is a professor and the Coordinator of Political
Science at the Atkinson Faculty,
York
University in Canada. He was an Associate Professor in the School of
Policy Studies and Public Administration, and Canada Research Fellow
in the Department of Political Studies at Queen's
University,
Canada. Before coming to Canada, he was a senior executive of the
Industrial Management Institute in Tehran. Dr. Rahnema has also
served as a senior officer of the United Nations Development Program
and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Middle East
Economic Association (MEEA) and was the Editor of the MEEA
NEWSLETTER. He is the co-investigator of MCRI/FORD “Diaspora,
Gender and Islam.”
He has numerous articles in English and Persian in Journals such as
Conflict Quarterly, Journal of Developing Areas, International
journal, Socialist Register, Monthly Review, and Journal of
Australian Political Economy. His most recent books include
